Terms of use
Last updated 4 October 2026.
These terms cover udslib.com and the uds-toolbox MCP server at mcp.udslib.com, provided by Andrii Shylenko e.v. (Hungary). Contact: andrii@shylenko.com.
The MCP server
- uds-toolbox is free to use for any purpose, commercial or not. No account is needed.
- It decodes and builds diagnostic messages from published conventions. Its answers are engineering aids, not a certified tool. Check results against your OEM specification and ISO 14229 before acting on a real vehicle or ECU. Do not rely on it for safety decisions.
- The reference texts paraphrase the standards and cite clause numbers. They do not replace the standards.
- The service is provided as is, without warranty, and may change or stop. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage from its use.
- Do not overload the service or use it to attack other systems. We may block abusive traffic.
The UDSLib library
The UDSLib source code is licensed separately: PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 for noncommercial use, or a commercial license. Using the free MCP server does not grant a license to the library.
Support
Questions, bug reports and feature requests for uds-toolbox: email andrii@shylenko.com or open an issue at github.com/Artomatica/udslib.com/issues. We answer within two business days. Commercial UDSLib customers get the support terms on the pricing page.
Law
